Charles Hull Contracting has a fleet of machinery equipped to carry out clearing works. Our fleet is predominantly D8-D9 dozers and 966 loaders with rakes.
All equipment is fitted with the correct safety protection, such as rollover protection and bush canopies for falling objects. CHC have carried out clearing works for some well established corporate companies including Alcoa and South32.
Scrapers are generally used for this activity and CHC has a range of single and twin engine scrapers available. Single engine equipment includes the 623, 631 and 633 models. Twin engine models include the 637 and 639.
With a large amount of expertise and knowledge, CHC can provide the correct technical knowledge for this activity no matter how challenging the topography may be. The aim is to carry out this activity in a safe and productive manner.
Charles Hull Contracting has experience in completing drill and blast works for major clients. CHC works in alliance with a major drilling contractor to complete project requirements with efficiencies gained from managing these works.
Charles Hull Contracting owns a large fleet of loading and haulage equipment. Excavators range from 20 to 200 tonne excavators and the loaders used are generally WA800/WA900 Komatsu or the Caterpillar 992 loader. The truck fleet is substantial with a choice of dump trucks that span from 50 tonne to 135 tonnes.

The materials that CHC has mined over the years include bauxite, gold and nickel, with clients being served all across Western Australia including Alcoa and South32.

Gravel and limestone products can be processed to main road specifications, and the material produced is regularly tested for quality assurance.
Rehabilitation is an area of CHC expertise. By utilising a considerable fleet of D11 dozers, loading units and haul trucks, the ability to landscape mined out pits can be very cost effective.
The scraper fleet is utilised to carry out soil return safely and productively. The finished product is always contour ripped to perfection to avoid erosion scour and increase the longevity of the rehabilitated area.CHC has been responsible for some of the best rehabilitation regrowth due to the possession of a unique spreading unit.
With strict environmental guidelines set out by clients , CHC does not disappoint in giving the best service possible to complete the works to satisfactory standard.
Since 2010 CHC has completed over 1400 hectares of rehabilitation at Alcoa’s Huntly, Willowdale and Jarrahdale mine sites. We are also part of the rehabilitation programme of South32’s Marradong and Saddleback minesites.
